These features are designed to detect and help prevent potential collisions by using a combination of cameras, radar, and sensors to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings.
The suite includes a range of safety features that provide drivers with an extra layer of protection on the road. Adaptive Cruise Control is one of the most popular features, which maintains a safe distance from other vehicles while driving. It uses sensors to detect the distance between the vehicle and the one ahead and adjusts the speed accordingly, helping to prevent accidents caused by sudden stops or unexpected slow-downs.
Other safety features included in the Honda Sensing® suite are Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking. Forward Collision Warning uses radar and cameras to detect potential collisions with other vehicles or objects in front of the car. If a collision is imminent, the system will alert the driver with visual and audible warnings. If the driver does not take action, Automatic Emergency Braking will automatically engage the brakes to prevent or mitigate the impact of a collision.
